Do you know the smell of tomatoes? The red and yellow-cheeked tomatoes from Nakkila are ready for picking at the Lintiko garden’s farm shop, fresh and ripe. Load up on cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, or raspberries—or perhaps all of them!
At the berry farms in Kokemäki, you’re in the heart of a Finnish postcard scene. Here, summer tastes like strawberries and raspberries—delicious! Eating fresh is the best way to preserve the flavors. You can taste the authentic colors and flavors of the berries in your breakfast cereal or smoothies, even after the summer season. Dried sea buckthorn, aronia, and funnel chanterelles are great for your health in winter as well. At Anttila’s farm shop, you’re guaranteed to get your vitamin C and E even when the frost bites. Don’t forget to pick up a few more liters of peas. At home, it’s fun to pop open the pods and enjoy the protein, pea by pea.
And one last stop on the food route to Huittinen. It’s delightful to choose goodies from the little shops to take home, as gifts for friends, or to stock up on local products for your Christmas presents.
