In Satakunta, there are plenty of options for motorcyclists and other travelers. Cruise around according to your preferences. There are plenty of pleasant routes, beautiful scenery, and delicious stops all around Satakunta.<\/p>\n

“Direct contact with the road is an experience that delights all the senses. Sometimes, you even enjoy the whiff of pig manure,” Liisa says.<\/p>\n

Susanna laughs, though she herself prefers the scent of lilacs.<\/p>\n

For motorcyclists, a winding, curvy road profile is pure bliss.<\/p>\n

“We\u2019ve got it good. It\u2019s boring to just drive straight; for example, Highway 66 in Ostrobothnia is mind-numbingly dull,” Liisa remarks.<\/p>\n

In motorcycle cafes, you meet like-minded people<\/h3>\n

In the motorcycle cafes of Satakunta, people stop by almost daily. On Tuesdays, they\u2019re in Panelia and K\u00e4mp\u00e4n Kaffetupa, on Wednesdays in Leineperi, Ulvila, and on Thursdays at the Verstas in Nakkila.<\/p>\n

“I appreciate the straightforwardness of the group; there\u2019s always room for newcomers, and everyone is welcomed warmly,” Susanna says.<\/p>\n

At the motorcycle cafes, you can wander around admiring other people’s bikes and cars, or simply sit down for a moment.<\/p>\n

Liisa nods and adds, “A snack and coffee enjoyed in a beautiful setting and good company do wonders. And you always have to have a grilled sausage.<\/p>\n

“Condemned to Wander”<\/h3>\n

From Nakkila, they ride along the winding, picturesque Jutintie, through the rural landscape towards Harjavalta. The sun shines brightly, but it rained just a moment ago, and the horizon hints at an approaching thunderstorm.<\/p>\n

“Typical riding weather,” Liisa remarks with a smile.<\/p>\n

Susanna enjoys stopping to take photos. This time, they stop at the Harjavalta power plant.<\/p>\n

“The bike has to be in the shot, of course.”<\/p>\n

Sometimes, she stops to snap a bike selfie by the Vesa-Matti Loiri mural at the Harjavalta shopping center. It\u2019s the perfect spot to position both the bike and herself in front of the “Condemned to Wander” slogan.<\/p>\n

The Iron Butt Ride doesn\u2019t spark any interest<\/h3>\n

Susanna and Liisa are all about enjoying the ride at their own pace. They usually take a break after 1.5 hours of riding at the latest.<\/p>\n

For endurance riding enthusiasts, there’s the Iron Butt Ride, where participants must cover at least 1,000 miles (1,609 kilometers) within 24 hours. The ride is verified through witness statements and fuel receipts. Annually, around 800 of these rides are officially recognized.<\/p>\n
